One Week
One, just one, and i was tired from the start. This is the first day since i started actually being on the hospital that i don't feel COMPLETELY and UTTERLY DRAINED!! What the hell? Must we stand and ask them every blinking ting about demself? And woe be unto me if i forget to ask when the "slight" pain in his finger started and if it was throbbing and did it radiate to his eyeball! OK so its not too bad once u get the hang of it (which won't be for now) but it is tiring. Did u know that standing and listening to someone is just as tiring as walking across UWI campus with a laptop and a bag of books? WOW, amazing. So as i gladly count down the days i have left in Medicine (2, yay) and look forward to the days of Surgery (one hour sessions a day, yay) i must say i have learnt a lot, in theory, and i got a glimpse of just how much i have in store for me, and it is not cute.
P.S. if u end up at University Hospital before May 2 please call me, i need the practice :D
1 Comments:
1) I wont end up there or call you :)
2) Keep having fun! It MAY be worth it at the end. Just keep that in mind.
3) Remember to ask a female student who comes to you about feeling nausceous if they are sexually active and what their diet is like.
