I'M BACK!!

Hi everyone out there in the blog world. I know i was greatly missed but don't worry, absence makes the heart grow fonder :D

There were so many days and so many moods that passed....

One thing i must mention before i forget, i felt a fear of the inevitable on the last day of 2005 that i hope i will never feel again. When i got the call that my friend's brother was missing from the night before a part of me knew it was over. This is not Trinidad where we hold ppl for ransom money. NO. We are much colder than that. That knowledge of who we are as a nation would have made me give up any hope of Jamie being found alive. If it was someone i didn't know i quickly would have said "He's probably dead". But not Jamie. Not one of the many guys that at one point in my life acted just like my own older brother to me. No. Too close to home. These things happen daily. We'll see or hear about it in the news but it never really hits you until it disrupts your naive sense of security.
One thing i know that happened tho' is me thanking the Lord over and over that Thinkbass' got in safe that very same night that the Devil made his rounds.

A part of me died in 2005, that very last day, the part that had all the hope for my great country. Even now i find it hard to type the word "great". But this has happened before my eyes were just closed. Now they have been forced open.

Back to the year 2006.
Working at JA Cancer Society again, this time i get to feel the joy of answering the phone to tell people their results are not ready, among other things. Can i tell you, Jamaicans don't want to hear that. But i try to say it as nicely as possible, being super pleasant (which u all know is quite a feat for me) but no real problems so far.

Please note well: Mammogram = Breast Exam (in layman terms)
It will not be able to tell u if there is cancer in ur toe or ur head. Please pass on this bit of information to other ppl u see. Also, some ppl feel a bit of discomfort but i don't think it is unbearable, so nothing to fear. (This goes for the Pap Smear as well)

Re Jamie, I am sad, I dont know what will change our country, what is it that we have to do to get ppl to respect anothers life.
